Temple Barr is a really short woman. That's why she loves high heels. But that is also the reason why Lt. Carmen Molina makes a special request of Temple. Las Vegas’ reality television show “Teen Queen”  is being filmed at a spacious and old home. Carmen is not happy because of the fact that her daughter who is 13 years old, has been accepted as a contested. But she doesn't make a deal with Temple just to babysit. There have been threats made against girls. Carmen wants Temple to act like a teenager and try to get on the show.

Temple, who is 30 years old, suddenly has to pretend she is 19. She realizes the only way she can do that is to change her personality  to something different to her normal self. She becomes the punk contender “Xoe Chloe Ozone”. She goes into the audition and competition. Now she has to uncover a killer. Midnight Louie follows her to keep her out of trouble.

Max has been busy rebuilding his magic skills, but he tells Temple he is getting together a new act. What he is really doing is being a masked magician in a club where he can spy on Synth. He thinks the group of magicians are behind the murder of his mentor.

Matt already went to Chicago. He has become a minor celebrity because of his advice radio show. He is making a guest appearance on a talk show. He is also doing a favor to his mother because she wants him to find out his father's name. She knew he had died in Vietnam and came from a prominent Chicago family. She never knew his full name though. She wants Matt find out who his father really is.

Temple has to act like a teenager, that is something that does not usually happen, having a 30 years old woman acting like a 19 years old. So things are not related in the book, a cat in a hot pink pursuit is not related neither. Both make one thing look in a different way that it s usually seen.

Teen Queen takes place in an old and spacious home in Las Vegas. Everything is related to the television show. Including the characters like Temple. She has to change because of the show.

The narrator makes it hard to keep the plot flowing continously forward. He changes too quickly his views. There was not  really a closure or exact opening, or any character's development.

Temple is a 30 years old woman who needs to act like a 19 years old teenager to be able to appear in a show named "Teen Queen" because Carmen wants her to. She changes of personality and the way she dresses to be able to appear act like a teenager. Louie follows her to be able to take care of her and check that she doesnt get in trouble.

Temple is a girl who is, well, forced to be a girl. She is a PR woman and amateur detective, she is 30 years old but pretends to be a 19 years old in the book. Carmen is a mother of a 13 years old girl and the one who wants Temple to act like a teenager. Louie is the one who follows temple so that way she gets doesnt get in trouble. Matt is a magician who spies on Synth.

I choosed this book, because I saw the cover with a cat on it. I like cats a lot. But, I don't have one. Also there is a girl in a motorcycle with nice clothes on so it might be interesting.
